Need some ideas?

Updated: Jan 16, 2023

Does your mind draw a blank when someone asks you what gift you would like for a holiday? Parents usually have a running list going in their head of what their kids need. But we often don't think of ourselves. If someone asks you what you want for Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day etc...I have some ideas for you that are perfect for self care.

*As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. This means I may make a commission from reader purchases but does not increase the cost to you. Please note, I would never recommend something I wouldn't buy myself.

Here are 10 products I think would make excellent gifts for mothers. Go ahead and put it in your Amazon cart and tell your significant other he or she can check out anytime. 😊 Or, exercise some self care and make purchase for yourself! If you know another mom who could use a little surprise cheer, send something her way.

1 . Dr. Teal's Ultra Moisturizing Body Wash

Who doesn't need a moisturizing body wash in winter? And, I love this scent. To me, it smells like the spa. I have Dr. Teals body scrub in this scent which you can purchase from Walmart.com. I love when I walk by the bathroom ten minutes after I've showered and it still smells like Eucalyptus!

2. Lavender Eye Pillow

I LOVE this product. It is filled with flaxseed and lavender, and can be heated or frozen. My husband bought it for me for Mother's Day. I recently washed it the washing machine on accident and pretty much ruined it. So, I asked for another one for Valentine's Day because it's soo valuable to me. I get the WORST sinus headaches. Now, this alone would not cure one of my bad headaches, but it is perfect for me in two situations. 1) When I feel a headache coming on, I can sometimes stop it. 2) While I am waiting for medication to kick in and I put this on my face, it makes the pain bearable. For me, the combination of aromatherapy and heat is perfect.

3. Bath Bombs or Shower Steamers

My husband bought me a set of these Pure bath bombs by Rachelle Parker for Christmas one year. I have tried many brands of bath bombs and I really like these. They are a decent size (some bath bombs can be really small,) but I still use two at a time. I like these because they are individually wrapped, the water turns pretty colors (but not the tub,) the aroma is strong enough for me and they are moisturizing. They contain dead sea salt, shea butter, coconut oil, and essential oils in addition to other ingredients here site deems as "natural." They also claim they are hypoallergenic. They aren't labelled organic so just a heads up if they is something you are looking for. Shower steams also make a great gift!

4. Wedge Pillow

The most comfortable way to watch tv in your bedroom. We got a new tv in our bedroom during the quarantine period because frankly there was more time at home to watch tv. Before, I really didn't watch that much TV in the bedroom but since my husband and I have been binge watching Grey's Anatomy, this pillow is so awesome. My husband bought me one for Mother's Day and he was always trying to steal mine. So, I bought him one for our anniversary. It's the gift of comfort.

5. Cute Blankets

I don't have the Betsey Johnson blanket but I want it. This looks like a perfect blanket to curl up with on the recliner. I'm sure you can tell I'm a 90s kid because I love the print.

I do have a Gilmore Girls blanket which of course, I love since its my favorite show ever!

6. Slippers

I only wear slippers in the house and fuzzy ones are a necessity in winter! Hard bottoms are must too in case I have to step on the porch.

7. Heating Pad for Neck and Shoulders

Anyone else's neck and shoulder hurt during and after a tension headache. I know mime do. This looks like a great product for that and other pain in that area. My sister in law got this for Christmas and I should have put it on my list too!

8. Stacking Rings

I received stacking rings with two of my kids names on them as a baby shower gift from my husband. I don't have these particular rings. I couldn't find the exact rings my husband bought but mine basically look like these. Browse around Amazon, Etsy or your favorite jewelry and find some you like!

9. Starbucks Cups

Starbucks Drive Thru is so convenient on your way home from somewhere. Less convenient when you have to get dressed and go out to get your Starbucks. But, I still need just as much caffeine if I'm staying home. I have the second group of cups and use them for my iced coffee, tea or water. They are big 24 ounce cups, and I feel like I just came from Starbucks when I drink them; not like I'm wearing no makeup and slippers, like I actually am. Also, they come with a quality reusable straw. If you have a Cricut you can personalize them too! BTW if you don't have a tea maker, you need one. Get one here.

10. Digital Photo Frame

Remember the old digital frames where you had to insert and SD card? I had one on display at my first baby shower with my 3D ultrasound pictures and maternity photos. Nice but a pain in the butt. These new ones are awesome!!! My brother bought my mom one for Christmas. Instantly share photos from your phone to an AEEZO digital photo frame through free frame app. Invite unlimited friends and family to share pictures to your frame! These is a GREAT gift for grandparents who can't see their grandkids right now. Its bigger than a phone and touch screen. I need one ASAP.

BONUS IDEA: BECAUSE I LOVE THESE SHOES
